What a whirlwind season it’s been. From the time the pandemic was declared a little over a year ago, our Board of Management, made up of dedicated volunteers, has been meeting, developing, and implementing plans to get our Club back curling while keeping our staff, volunteers, members, and the public safe.
Now that the season has ended, we can take a step back and look to the next season. Part of looking ahead is filling a spot on the Board that was vacated last fall. Lorne Jackson served the board and stepped down. We thank him for his time with the board. Lorne served as Ice Committee Chair. John McEvoy had stepped up to fill the spot. We are looking for someone who loves curling as much as we do, to sit as a Director at Large. Our Board meets once a month throughout the year. When we can’t meet in person at the Club, we meet online using video conferencing. The Director at Large would be a member in good standing and appointed to fill the spot until the Annual General Meeting in September. You can make a difference.
Head to the Contact Us section and shoot us a message. Call and leave a message 274-6667, message us on Facebook or speak to any one of our directors. We would love to hear from you!
