Our volunteers have been hard at work since cleaning and prepping the ice last weekend. Ron Silver and Lorne Jackson have been out flooding the ice ahead of the arrival of Lloyd Stansell and Brent Adamson. The two icemakers from Thunder Bay will work with our Fort Frances crew to get our ice in and ready for the coming season. Lloyd Stansell, who hails from Red Rock, was recently inducted into the NWO Sports Hall of Fame in the ‘builder’ category and is known nationally and internationally for his ice tech skills. If anyone is interested in helping with the ice, send us a message or drop by the rink. Ice will be ready for our first even to the season happening October 4 and 5th.
