As a Club, we strive to adapt to change and as of late, there has been lots of change. The Board of Management met on Tuesday and approved slight changes to the Rules of Play. Skips can now sweep. It seems to work well especially with lots of rocks in play. We will do our best to keep members current with changes as they happen. Rules of play for members document colour Nov 11 20_
Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Cleaning Fund either with monetary donations or disinfectant wipes.
Of greater importance was the discussion regarding the safety of our members and staff. Should you have any questions, feel free to direct them to the board of management.
Out of an abundance of caution and concern, The Board of Management of the Fort Frances Curling Club would ask that you follow the travel recommendations as set out by the NWHU below:
November 3, 2020: Travel recommendation from Dr. Kit Young Hoon, Medical Officer of Health: Avoid non-essential travel to Winnipeg and other parts of Manitoba. Community transmission is happening within that province. Also, avoid non-essential travel outside of Northern Ontario.
Anyone from the region who travels to Winnipeg for an essential reason should limit interacting with others as much as possible for 14 days upon returning home. If symptoms develop, self-isolate and get tested for COVID-19.
